Good video and additional information at DotEarth. Follow the main link.

Cyclone Nargis and coastal flooding, as mapped on Google Earth.

The Lat Long blog maintained by the Google Earth team has a post on some fresh layers of data that show the trajectory of Cyclone Nargis and the flood zones in Myanmar, where the government has been very slow to release any official information.

Slowly, the enormous scope of the disaster is emerging. The data for Google Earth’s layer on the cyclone came via Unosat (the United Nations Institute for Training and Research Operational Satellite Applications Program), which has posted a set of maps related to the flooding.
