Sen. Larry Craig, the Idaho Republican whose "wide stance" turned him into an international punchline, plans to ask an appeals court to let him withdraw the guilty plea he entered after being arrested in a sex sting at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.
Craig has long denied rumors that he is gay. After his arrest and guilty plea became known to the public, the outspoke conservative announced that he intended to resign on Sept. 30. He later changed his mind.
On Saturday, Craig was inducted into the Idaho Hall of Fame.
