Adlee Bruner caught this 11-foot, 844.4 pound mako shark during a fishing rodeo Saturday near Destin, Fla. With a post-gutting weight of 638 pounds, it shattered the previous shark rodeo record of 339 pounds, according to the Associated Press.
The photograph was taken by William Hatfield of Northwest Florida Daily News. His paper has a tight shot of the shark's sharp teeth.
